LOW LIGHT/BRIGHT INDIRECT PLANT LIST
Welcome!
You’ve been itching to add some greenery to your home, but don’t know where to start. Do not worry we shall form a list of plants that can help with making these fun decisions of adding a plant to our daily rituals. This will be a short, but informative post that plays with my previous journal entry of light requirements for plants.
Some plants live in a range of light requirements and they do change characteristics, but can live a long beautiful life in these light conditions. Once we find the right plant for the right place we can truly start to enjoy the process of being a plant parent.
Low Light (PPF:50-150 mol m-2s-1/ 50-250 foot candles/ 10-15 watts) - would be a north facing window or a dark corner that still can cast a shadow. This means enough light is still entering the room and if you are able to read a book with out any artificial lighting a low light categorized plant would love its new home. Note that north facing windows never receive direct sunlight so we will always categorize it as a Low Light to Indirect Bright Light area.
