Ming Aralia

Ming Aralia has beautiful lace-like leaves and gives you a very unique plant texture for your home. As it ages the bottom leaves fall and reveal the cool trunk they provide.

Light:

Indirect Bright Light - East facing windows provide great morning light and avoids the direct sun.

  • Ming Aralia require at least 6 hours of indirect sunlight to grow properly.

  • It’s a slow growing plant so ensuring it gets the right amount of light will help with it drying down correctly.

  • Aralia trees are gorgeous additions to your home. They provide character and softness with their fringe styled leaves.

Temperature & Humidity:

Ming Aralia needs temperatures to remain between 65-80℉ all year round to retain good health.

When the temperatures fall below 60°F, they will begin to drop their leaves. Leaf-drop can happen instantly and dramatically!

High humidity is a must. The leaves may begin to curl, or the edges will turn brown and fall off if they do not receive enough humidity.

  • Using a humidifier or a pebble tray with water can help give these moisture-loving plants.

Watering:

Water between 7 to 10 days.

Water well and make sure Aralia is not sitting in excessive water. Aralia’s like moisture, but not sitting in wet soil. Allow soil to dry down half way before watering again. Check soil and if in doubt give it another day to dry out.

  • Let the water dry from the soil to the halfway down the grow pot. Consistently moist soil is the key to successfully growing a Ming Aralia!
